Illinois Concealed Carry, LLC now offers a TASER® training course and certification for those interested in learning how to utilize a TASER® or stun gun as a non-lethal method of self-defense.

The C2 TASER® is an electronic control device intended to provide civilians a less than lethal method of self-defense, in effort to temporarily render an assailant incapacitated.

The new TASER® C2 series has an almost 100% effectiveness rating, combining the injury-reducing benefits of traditional stun technology with the enormous stopping power of neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) technology.

As the user deploys the TASER® C2, it provides an incredible self-defense advantage allowing them to simply drop the device and get away during the 30-second interval the attacker is rendered incapacitated.

This course is designed to afford citizens a certification class providing a hands on training approach to understand how to properly deploy the TASER® C2 weapon in a safe and effective manner. This training course is structured into three formats; lecture, demonstration and scenario.

YOU WILL NOT BE TASED OR STUNNED IN ANY MANNER DURING THIS COURSE!

Duration: 2 hours

The ASP basic Certification (ABC) is a 6-hour, hands-on seminar which trains participants in the operational use of the ASP Tactical Baton. The program is simple to learn and easy to understand. It provides effective defensive impact weapon tactics for law enforcement and private security personnel, as well as responsible civilians without long hours of training. The techniques were designed to work effectively for all users, male and female, large and small, fit as well as those in less-than-peak physical condition.

The program provides portation (carrying) and presentation (drawing) procedures as well as striking techniques. These tactics are quickly learned, easily practiced and readily maintained long after the program is completed.

The ASP Tactical Baton is designed to be used as an impact weapon, not a come along device. There are no complicated holds or complex moves.

The impact weapon techniques in all ASP Tactical Baton programs are designed to meet three standards of training:

  • The techniques work on the street, not just in the classroom
  • The techniques are court defensible and are backed by the nation's most experienced use-of-force consultants
  • The program is administratively feasible for use in a contemporary private security or law enforcement agency
